Estamos hablando del <b>brunch<\/b>, una comida que se toma a medio camino entre el <b>desayuno<\/b> de la ma\u00f1ana y el <b>almuerzo<\/b> de mediod\u00eda (si lo pensamos bien, algo no muy distinto al <b>aperitivo<\/b> o el <b>tentempi\u00e9<\/b> de toda la vida) y que, desde hace alg\u00fan tiempo, los grandes restaurantes del mundo han empezado a servir a sus clientes.<\/p>\n<p>Lo que en algunos eventos se ha venido en llamar <b>coffe break<\/b>, es, en realidad, una fusi\u00f3n entre el desayuno y el almuerzo anglosaj\u00f3n. Tanta es la fusi\u00f3n, que el propio vocablo es un maridaje de <b>BReakfast + lUNCH<\/b> = <b>brunch<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy el brunch se ha extendido a todos los d\u00edas de la semana\u2026 pero<b>, originariamente<\/b>, no era as\u00ed. Y es que, al principio, el brunch era la forma original de <b>recuperar fuerzas<\/b>, durante las ma\u00f1anas del <b>fin de semana<\/b>, despu\u00e9s de la fiesta y las copas nocturnas. Actualmente, ha traspasado esos l\u00edmites, haciendo su entrada en el mundo de los <b>negocios<\/b>. Ahora el brunch es utilizado, sobre todo en <b>Europa<\/b>, como buffet en <b>reuniones<\/b>, congresos y <b>seminarios<\/b> en los que se hace un <b>peque\u00f1o descanso<\/b> o receso a media o <b>\u00faltima hora<\/b> de la ma\u00f1ana, s\u00f3lo para tomar algo.<\/p>\n<p>La hora en la que se sirve el <b>brunch<\/b>, en torno, como se ha dicho en torno a las <b>11\/12<\/b> de la ma\u00f1ana, hace que los alimentos que lo integran est\u00e9n m\u00e1s <b>cercanos<\/b> a los que se han servido en el <b>desayuno<\/b> que a los que se dar\u00e1n en la <b>comida<\/b>. As\u00ed, en la mesa del brunch podremos encontrar <b>zumos<\/b>, caf\u00e9, <b>leche<\/b>, t\u00e9 y <b>chocolate<\/b>, pasteler\u00eda o <b>panader\u00eda<\/b> diversas, mermeladas, <b>embutidos, <\/b>en los que no puede faltar el<b> jam\u00f3n ib\u00e9rico,\u00a0<\/b>aunque tampoco ser\u00eda raro encontrar otros alimentos m\u00e1s consistentes, como una <b>tortilla de patata<\/b>, unos huevos revueltos&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfY <b>cu\u00e1nto<\/b> <b>tiempo<\/b> ha de durar un brunch? El protocolo \u2013y el consejo de los especialistas- indica y aconseja que un brunch no deber\u00eda sobrepasar nunca la <b>media hora<\/b>. Y, por lo que respecta al escenario, el brunch se puede servir en el <b>mismo sitio<\/b> en el que se celebra la <b>reuni\u00f3n<\/b> siempre y cuando se trate de <b>reuniones peque\u00f1as<\/b>, donde son pocos los participantes.
